The role being offered is for a Bartender who will serve guests with a high level of hospitality to ensure a positive and enjoyable guest experience. This full-time position requires the individual to maintain the bar setup daily, manage inventory including beer, wine, spirits, produce, and condiments, as well as prepare and present beverages according to standard recipes while observing portion control. The bartender will be responsible for engaging with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, accurately taking orders and processing transactions using the point of sale system. Compliance with all relevant State, Federal, and Corporate regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages is a crucial component of the job. The role also involves the daily preparation and storage of fresh garnishes and perishables to ensure product quality. Attention to detail in cash handling and securing the bar at the end of shifts demonstrates the importance placed on accountability and operational integrity. The position demands physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks such as cutting garnishes and handling stock. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior bartending or related hospitality experience preferred
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties
- Basic math skills
- Good manual dexterity
- Strong communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Compliance with all alcoholic beverage laws and company policies
Job Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- Must communicate well with guests
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and various alcoholic beverages
- Basic mathematical skills for operating cash register and making change
- Sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, and mix drinks
- Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- Ability to operate keyboard and point of sale procedures
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
Job Duties
- Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document drink orders
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes while practicing prudent portion control
- Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Input orders into the register at point of sale and create checks for each guest to maintain beverage accountability
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record transactions, and ensure proper execution of vouchers to balance money
- Lock and store all beverage, food and equipment items, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank
- Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available to work
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
