The position available at Hard Rock Casino Rockford involves key responsibilities centered on maintaining cleanliness and order within all food and beverage wares, kitchens, and service areas. Additional requirements include the ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications mandated by Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission regulations. Candidates must also successfully pass background checks, be at least 18 years of age, and display flexibility regarding shift schedules, including working holidays and weekends.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • create an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Rockford their choice for gaming entertainment
  • welcome every guest to improve guest satisfaction and promote positive guest relations
  • escort guests to their tables or booths in a courteous and friendly manner
  • inspect dining areas and set tables or booths when necessary
  • practice and observe safety rules and regulations in all dining areas
  • manage comps and reservation sheets
  • run required reports including server, micro cashier, and batch reports from credit card machines
  • present checks and collect settlements accurately
  • efficiently serve between 25 to 35 guests per half-hour
  • complete all opening and closing side duties
  • stock areas with necessary items during and at the end of shifts
  • maintain cleanliness of all dining areas
  • ring all financial transactions accurately
  • follow all policies and procedures regarding alcohol
  • abide by all cash handling policies and procedures
  • pick up and return bank and revenue to and from the cage or cash room
  • verify all banks received and returned accurately
  • take reservations when necessary
  • remain knowledgeable of casino events
  • perform other departmental duties and assignments as directed by management
