Job Description

Hard Rock Cafe Los Angeles/Hollywood is seeking a dedicated and energetic Host to join their front-of-house team. This position plays a crucial role as the initial contact for guests, setting the tone for a welcoming, exciting, and memorable experience right at the front door. The Host's responsibilities extend beyond greeting and seating guests to encompass serving as a tour guide, communicator, entertainer, memorabilia curator, and musical enthusiast. This role demands excellent interpersonal skills, a positive and friendly demeanor, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on guest satisfaction.

As an hourly, overtime non-exempt role with a pay range of $17 - $23, the Host will perform various duties that include opening doors, greeting guests, answering questions courteously and accurately, maintaining an organized and clean waiting area, managing phone inquiries, directing guests to the appropriate areas, and ensuring security for co-workers, guests, and notable visitors. The Host also supports servers, bussers, and managers, while undertaking opening, closing, and side duties such as cleaning, polishing, sweeping, wiping menus, and maintaining restrooms.

Physical demands of the role include standing, walking, kneeling, bending for extended periods, and manual tasks requiring dexterity and coordination. The ideal candidate must be able to tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, chemicals, and a noisy environment. Additional expectations include maintaining a well-groomed appearance, adhering to uniform guidelines, practicing general safety and sanitation standards, and supporting Hard Rock Cafe's five core values and mission statement.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
