The Executive Chef role is a critical leadership position within Hard Rock International’s cafe operations. This role is responsible for the overall management and efficient functioning of the kitchen and back-of-house operations to ensure that Hard Rock’s renowned culinary standards are consistently upheld. The Executive Chef will work closely with the cafe’s senior leadership team to maintain brand standards while meeting or exceeding business objectives. Responsibilities include ensuring food quality, appearance, portion control, timely service, and cost management in line with budgetary goals.

Beyond operational oversight, the Executive Chef fosters a culture of teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement. They will manage staffing schedules, enforce health and safety standards, and drive culinary innovation while supporting talent development and career progression within the kitchen team. This role also involves acting as a Culinary Learning Coach, designing and implementing learning programs to enhance employee skills and promote a high-performing, motivated kitchen staff.

Ideal candidates will bring a minimum of 15 years of hospitality and culinary experience, including comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations. Possession of all required local food safety and management certifications is essential. The role demands a high level of business acumen, strong communication abilities, and a passion for culinary excellence. Physical demands require stamina and the ability to work in various conditions within the corporate office and cafe environments.

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate financial comprehension of cafe's budget and P&L
  • effectively control costs of food and related purchases in alignment with budgeted expectations
  • manage staff schedules in accordance with the cafe's budget and forecast models
  • maintain the highest standards of brand, local health, safety, and food preparation hygiene requirements
  • support the team in consistent execution of all systems and processes to consistently deliver all products and services to brand standards
  • support senior management in building a highly functional hourly team who share a common vision and values surrounding the overall success of the cafe
  • develop kitchen team in all aspects of kitchen execution from 100% recipe adherence to banquet service
