The role of a warehouse transportation driver at this location is vital for maintaining the seamless flow of goods across facilities. The driver is responsible for transporting finished products from the production facility to various warehousing sites, ensuring that goods are moved efficiently and safely according to company and regulatory standards. This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule with night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing a consistent routine for employees. Working in this capacity demands adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies, requiring careful logging of driving hours, load verification, vehicle maintenance, and handling loading/unloading equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.
Candidates for this job will engage in pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to confirm that all equipment and loads meet safety and regulatory standards before departure and upon arrival. Maintaining accurate paperwork, including Bill of Lading and DOT logs, is another critical responsibility ensuring compliance and traceability. The vehicle, products, and equipment must be kept in excellent condition according to Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages' standards, reinforcing the company’s commitment to quality and safety. This role suits individuals with some general work experience, a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL), interstate endorsement, and a clean driving record in line with Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) policy guidelines. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of general work experience preferred
- valid Class A commercial driver’s license with interstate endorsement
- clean driving record meeting MVR policy guidelines
- ability to operate industrial power trucks and 2/4-wheel dolly
- familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations
- ability to complete and maintain DOT logs and other required paperwork
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 general work experience preferred
- ability to operate a 2/4-wheel dolly
- ability to operate all type of industrial power trucks
- familiar with DOT regulations
- valid Class A and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
- interstate designation required on CDL
- 1 plus years of commercial driving experience preferred
Job Duties
- Transport finished goods or raw materials between facilities
- load and unload goods using forklift or pallet jacks or connect or disconnect trailers at destination
- complete pre- and post-trip inspections, as well as verify load and seal numbers
- maintain DOT time log, Bill of Lading, and other paperwork as required
- maintain vehicle, product and equipment to company standards
