Job Description

Team DriveAway is a specialized transportation company offering independent contractor opportunities across various driving divisions including Singles, Non-CDL, New Deck, Used Deck, and Boom. Established as a leader within the professional over-the-road (OTR) trucking industry, Team DriveAway empowers drivers by providing the flexibility to select loads that best fit their schedules. This driving opportunity is structured around an independent contractor model rather than a company driver or owner/operator arrangement, making it ideal for individuals who value autonomy in managing their work loads and income potential.

Team DriveAway caters to a broad range of driving professionals by facilitating nationwide transportation of vehicles and equipment on OTR routes. Drivers with varying levels of qualifications and endorsements have the option to join divisions suited perfectly to their skill sets and preferences. Pay rates are competitive within the industry, ranging from $0.72 to $1.55 per mile depending on the driving division and load, with additional fuel surcharges to further enhance earning potential. The company prioritizes timely payment by offering same-day pay after the completion and approval of required documentation and logs.

As a driver with Team DriveAway, you can expect to maintain a flexible work schedule by running two to five loads per month, ensuring that you retain control over your availability and workload. The company extends bonus opportunities such as referral bonuses, clean inspection bonuses, mileage bonuses, load bonuses, and safety bonuses, reinforcing their commitment to rewarding responsible and effective driving habits.

Drivers enjoy the ability to select their preferred loads; however, to remain active, it is mandatory to complete a minimum of three to five loads monthly. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date DOT logs using the mandated MOTIVE app is essential, as paper logs are strictly prohibited. Weekly check-ins with dispatchers ensure ongoing communication and support, even when drivers are not actively hauling loads. Driving distances generally range between 300 to 800 miles per load depending on customer requirements.

It is important to note that even though the company's name includes "Team," all contracted drivers operate solo only, and the use of team drivers is not implemented. This ensures a straightforward contract arrangement for independent contractors focused on solo driving assignments.

Overall, Team DriveAway offers a unique independent contractor driving experience suited to seasoned professional drivers seeking flexibility, competitive remuneration, and opportunities for performance-based bonuses. With clear branding around professional integrity, autonomy, and support, this role is an attractive option for qualified drivers looking for reliable OTR driving contracts without the limitations or obligations tied to traditional company driver or owner/operator roles.
