Compensation is competitive, ranging from $0.72 to $1.55 per mile, with added fuel surcharges depending on the division and load specifics. Same-day pay is available once all required logs and paperwork are submitted and cleared, providing timely financial rewards for your efforts.

Each load requires pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete with photo documentation to verify vehicle condition and compliance. Drivers are also tasked with using MacroPoint for Truckers for live load tracking to enhance transparency and customer service. As a solo driver role, Team DriveAway does not employ team driving, highlighting the independent nature of this position.

This position requires a strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and adherence to safety protocols. Drivers must supply their own tools and equipment for decking duties, maintain punctuality at all loading and delivery points, and showcase a professional attitude in all interactions. Documentation related to past employment and transported companies is necessary for verification and compliance review. Additionally, escrows, occupational/accidental insurance, and deductible buy-back insurance are mandatory aspects of this independent contractor engagement.

Job Requirements

  • Must hold a valid DL (Non-CDL) or CDL Class A or B
  • Deck positions require double/triple (T) endorsement
  • Minimum 1 year verifiable OTR CMV driving experience within the last 3 years
  • Deck positions require minimum 2 years verifiable OTR CMV driving experience plus 1 year decking and un-decking experience
  • Non-CDL requires minimum 1 year verifiable OTR professional driving experience with a driveaway company
  • Rideshare driving does not count toward experience
  • Must maintain a relatively clean driving record and stable employment history
  • Must provide DOT numbers of previous employers
  • Must provide documentation of companies transported for within the last 3 years
  • Strong knowledge of DOT HOS regulations and ability to maintain accurate DOT logs using the MOTIVE app
  • Own tools and equipment for decking and un-decking
  • Submit all paperwork and documents on time
  • Maintain excellent communication with dispatch
  • Punctuality at pickup and delivery appointments
  • Use MacroPoint for real-time load tracking
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Provide photo documentation for every load
  • Responsible for fuel for transport and maintain at least 1/4 tank
  • Escrow, occupational/accidental insurance and deductible buy back insurance required

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a valid Non-CDL or CDL Class A or B license
  • Minimum 1 year of verifiable OTR CMV driving experience within the last 3 years
  • For deck positions, minimum 2 years of verifiable OTR CMV driving experience plus 1 year of decking and un-decking experience
  • Knowledge of DOT HOS regulations

Job Duties

  • Select loads to transport based on availability and preference
  • Maintain accurate daily DOT logs using the MOTIVE app
  • Check in with dispatcher at least once per week even when not actively transporting
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections with proper logging
  • Document all loads with required photos
  • Provide real-time load tracking using MacroPoint for Truckers
  • Ensure punctuality at all pickups and deliveries
