Clean Harbors is currently seeking an OTR Class A Roll-Off/End Dump Driver to join their safety-conscious team in Bakersfield, California. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $105,000 per year, complemented by bi-weekly home time and a comprehensive compensation package that includes hourly pay during all on-duty time through demurrage and non-asset hourly rates, in addition to mileage pay.

As an OTR Class A Driver for Clean Harbors, safety and compliance are paramount. The driver is responsible for the proper handling and transport of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring that all loads are secured according to company and Department of Transportation regulations. This includes placarding vehicles correctly and maintaining essential logs and reports such as daily logs, dispatch reports, trip reports, invoicing, and vehicle inspection documentation. Furthermore, the role requires occasional respirator use, indicating work with potentially sensitive materials or environments, and necessitates the ability to pass respirator fit and pulmonary function tests.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of Class A driving experience, hold a valid Class A CDL along with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements, and demonstrate proficiency with mobile applications and basic computer software. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more, work from heights, and climb, ensuring operational versatility. Additionally, maintaining a clean-shaven or mustache-only facial grooming standard is required to ensure proper respirator sealing.

Joining Clean Harbors means becoming part of a company that prioritizes health and safety every day of the year, fosters a positive and safe working environment, and values diversity and inclusion.
