As one of the largest food companies in the world and a Fortune 100 company, Tyson Foods is known for its commitment to quality, sustainability, and safety. The company produces a wide range of food products including beef, chicken, pork, and prepared foods, serving customers across retail, foodservice, and industrial markets. Tyson Foods is dedicated to innovation and operational excellence, maintaining a robust supply chain and a team of skilled professionals who help uphold its reputation as a reliable and trusted brand. The organization values its employees, offering competitive salaries, extensive benefits, and opportunities for growth and development to foster long-term careers.
The CDL Driver - OTR (Over The Road) position at Tyson Foods represents a critical role in the company’s logistics and transportation operations. This role is designed for experienced CDL-A drivers who are looking for consistent freight assignments, dependable miles, and flexible home time schedules. Drivers in this position are responsible for safely and professionally transporting Tyson Foods products, including refrigerated goods, to various company facilities, distribution centers, and customer locations across a wide geographic area. Operating tractor-trailer combinations, the drivers ensure that refrigerated trailers maintain proper temperature throughout transit, preserving product quality and safety.
This role demands a high level of safety awareness, reliability, and commitment to on-time delivery. Drivers act as the face of Tyson Foods on the road and at customer facilities, making professional presentation and customer service skills important components of the job. The company offers an attractive pay range of $1,250 to $2,000 per week, along with a newly designed pay package that rewards experience and tenure. Beyond competitive pay, Tyson Foods provides numerous benefits including a 3rd week of vacation at the 5th anniversary, tenure incentives based on milestones, a 401(k) plan with company match available after one year, and medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on the first day.
Other important benefits include life, ADandD, and disability insurance at no cost with options for additional coverage, telemedicine and mental health resources for employees and their families, paid parental leave, family building support such as fertility coverage and adoption assistance, tuition assistance up to $5,250 annually, and professional development programs including language courses and business certifications. Assigned trucks, no-touch freight, drop pay for all deliveries, safety bonuses, and a company matching stock purchase plan further add to the attractiveness of this role.
This CDL Driver - OTR position is ideal for individuals with a valid CDL-A license seeking stable employment in a reputable company that prioritizes safety, compensation, and workforce well-being. Tyson Foods strives to cultivate an inclusive and supportive work environment where drivers have opportunities to build rewarding careers and contribute to the company’s overall success in delivering high-quality food products nationwide.
