Job Description

Barr-Nunn Transportation is a well-established dry van truckload carrier with a legacy dating back to 1982. Specializing in providing outstanding on-time pickup and delivery services, Barr-Nunn operates with a fleet consisting of approximately 600 tractors and around 2,150 trailers. The company mainly serves major e-commerce customers and other businesses that require reliable and punctual freight transportation solutions. Over the years, Barr-Nunn has built an exceptional safety record and earned numerous accolades for their on-time service, making them a stable and profitable operation in the freight industry. They pride themselves on delivering efficient and dependable service, positioning themselves as a leader in the logistics sector. This makes Barr-Nunn Transportation an excellent employer for those seeking long-term and stable career opportunities in trucking.

Currently, Barr-Nunn Transportation is hiring Over-The-Road (OTR) CDL-A Truck Drivers with a competitive annual salary ranging between $85,000 and $95,000. This hiring initiative also features enticing transition bonuses of up to $1,825 on the first paycheck to reward and motivate new drivers. The company places a strong emphasis on work-life balance, offering a schedule where drivers operate for 21 days on the road, followed by 7 days at home. The freight is 100% no-touch dry van truckload, meaning drivers do not need to handle the cargo physically, which enhances convenience and safety on the job. The position is solo and company-employed, ensuring drivers have a direct and supportive relationship with Barr-Nunn.

Barr-Nunn also supports drivers living east of Interstate-35 by paying for flights home or reimbursing fuel expenses, providing financial ease and flexibility when it comes to home time logistics. Compensation includes competitive pay of 65 to 70 cents per mile depending on experience and endorsements, with additional hiring bonuses for those holding HAZMAT endorsements. Further incentives include a lucrative referral program and a well-equipped truck featuring modern amenities such as a TV, microwave, refrigerator, inverter, free Sirius XM radio, bedding, and a CB radio, creating a comfortable driving environment. Benefits offered are extensive and include health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield, dental insurance, free life insurance coverage of $10,000, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off (PTO), and safety-based bonuses.

This role is ideal for experienced CDL-A drivers who value comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, and a supportive company culture that prioritizes safety and driver satisfaction. Drivers benefit from excellent safety bonuses, accelerated paid time off based on miles driven, and opportunities for pay raises tied directly to road safety and performance. The trucks are late-model Freightliner Cascadia tractors with the latest technology and equipment, including tracking and cargo sensors, enhancing both safety and efficiency. Barr-Nunn fosters a culture of long-term employment with anniversary bonuses, robust training, and ongoing support, making it an excellent choice for those looking to build a rewarding career in truck driving with a reputable and forward-thinking carrier.
