The Orthodontics Front Desk position, also known as Patient Concierge, plays a crucial role in maintaining this standard of excellence. This full-time role is based on a commitment to providing exceptional customer service by functioning as the first and last point of contact for patients. Patient Concierges welcome visitors with warmth and professionalism, offer clear and educational communication regarding the patient’s visit, and address any questions or concerns. Beyond receptionist duties, they handle essential administrative tasks such as processing patient paperwork, verifying insurance information, and managing scheduling for new, recall, or emergency appointments. Additionally, Patient Concierges support the clinical team by being cross-trained in basic back office functions to enhance the overall patient care experience.
This role requires a high degree of organization, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills. Team members are expected to maintain a positive demeanor,build trusted relationships with patients and colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative office culture. Working hours include full-time shifts over five days a week, including alternating Saturdays, with two mandatory Saturdays per month, ensuring comprehensive support for the practice’s patient scheduling needs. Pay for this position ranges between $14.00 and $15.00 per hour, reflecting the value placed on front office staff in delivering seamless patient experiences.

Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word
- Dedication to providing outstanding customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage diverse tasks and changing priorities
- Comfortable working full-time hours including Saturdays
- Ability to occasionally travel to assist other locations or attend training
- Physical ability to perform job duties including standing, walking, handling and reaching
- Willingness to support a collaborative and positive office culture
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Ability to build relationships of trust and open communication
- Well organized and adaptable
- Experience with dental office management preferred
- Knowledge of Dentrix and Dolphin dental software preferred
- CPR-BLS, RDA, or related dental certifications preferred
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to patients
- Be the first impression welcoming patients to the office and the final friendly face they see after their visit
- Perform administrative duties such as assisting with patient paperwork, scheduling appointments, verifying insurances, and other front office duties as assigned
- Engage in open, educational communication to provide overview of visit and address questions or concerns
- Schedule patient appointments including new patients, recall or emergencies
- Support basic back office functions to enhance patient experience
- Assist with insurance verifications and patient paperwork processing
