Job Description

This opportunity is with a small family-owned and operated business deeply rooted in supporting the local farm food community. The company fosters a drug-free and family-oriented work environment, emphasizing respect, reliability, and community involvement. They are passionate about promoting the buy-local initiative by providing fresh access to local farm food and supporting small family farmers. The organization is patriotic and values faith and family time, especially keeping weekends free for these priorities. The business offers a supportive, uplifting environment that makes a positive difference in the local economy, ideal for those who want meaningful, steady work with a community focus.

The role available is for dependable drivers with clean records to regularly cover specific routes on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. There is also a need for substitute drivers who can be available on short notice for routes from Monday through Thursday. Notably, a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required for this role; however, experience with pulling at least a small trailer is essential. The drivers use a 3/4 ton pickup truck that pulls a 12-foot enclosed refrigerated trailer, which means candidates should be comfortable and proficient in handling these vehicles.

This position offers hourly pay with raises every six months, providing a clear progression path while ensuring a stable income. It is an excellent fit for retired individuals wanting to keep involved in the local economy, homeschool parents seeking flexible work options that might include bringing older students along, and entrepreneurs looking for a meaningful side job. The working hours are consistent and reliable during the week, with a strong emphasis on valuing family and faith, as the company maintains weekends free from work commitments. This role is perfect for those who value community, want to contribute to sustainable agriculture and local business, and desire a work-life balance that includes weekend family time.
