Job Description

The Miami Beach EDITION is a distinguished luxury hotel located at 2901 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, Florida. It is part of the EDITION Hotels brand, which represents the synergy of the visionary boutique hotelier Ian Schrager's genius, the impeccable service delivery of a world-class luxury hotel, and the extensive global reach of Marriott International. EDITION Hotels are celebrated for delivering a distinctive hospitality experience that balances polish with personality, perfectionism with individualism, and comfort with charisma and charm. This brand caters to an audience that values sophistication and quality and seeks originality, exceptional design, and impeccable service excellence. The Miami Beach EDITION is renowned for its innovative approach to guest experiences, blending theatrical and personalized service that continuously delights and enchants. As a member of the Marriott International family, the hotel embraces an inclusive and diverse work environment, dedicated to equal opportunity and the celebration of its associates' unique cultural backgrounds and talents.

The role at The Miami Beach EDITION is for a part-time, non-management Room Service Representative position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This role is essential in enhancing the guest experience by managing the intake of room service orders over the phone and ensuring seamless communication between guests and kitchen staff. The Room Service Representative is tasked with providing guests with detailed information on menu selections, including the origin, vintage, and style of various wines. This role involves logging and placing room service orders accurately in the MICROS system, addressing guest questions or concerns, and ensuring timely service delivery by notifying guests and management of any delays.

In addition, the Room Service Representative must communicate special meal requirements such as allergies, dietary needs, and additional requests to the kitchen team promptly and clearly. Maintaining cleanliness in the work area and completing end-of-day reports and payment processing are also key responsibilities. This position requires adherence to company policies, safety, and security measures, reporting any unsafe conditions, and completing relevant safety training and certifications.

The role demands excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, using clear and professional language and appropriate etiquette. The representative is expected to welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation. The ideal candidate will be a team player who supports common goals and meets quality and service standards consistently. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

This position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent but does not require prior work or supervisory experience. The Room Service Representative is a front-line ambassador for The Miami Beach EDITION, embodying its core values of service from the heart, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. This opportunity is perfect for those who are outgoing and genuinely passionate about hospitality and want to join a globally recognized brand dedicated to creating extraordinary experiences. Joining the Miami Beach EDITION means becoming part of a dynamic, diverse global team that fosters growth, purpose, and pride in the work environment.
