The company's core values of Show You Care, Do the Right Things, and Win as a Team set it apart in this dynamic sector, driving a culture that fosters respect, safety, and teamwork. These values create an environment where employees are empowered to contribute to the company's success and enhance the customer experience continuously.
The position of Duty Manager Control Center at Swissport is a critical role focused on overseeing the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of into-plane fueling activities. This role demands high attention to safety policies and operational protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards including FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs, and local airport authorities. A Duty Manager Control Center is tasked with managing not only the operational aspects but also ensuring contractual service standards meet customer expectations effectively.
Offering a competitive salary of $70,000 per year, this full-time position includes comprehensive health and wellness benefits such as health insurance, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, company paid holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and tuition reimbursement programs. Employees are valued as essential contributors and are rewarded with opportunities for growth and professional development.
In this role, the Duty Manager Control Center will enforce company safety and health policies rigorously while ensuring that the fueling equipment is used safely and efficiently. The position requires conducting audits and verification of fuel-related paperwork and ensuring compliance with strict fuel quality control specifications like ATA 103, NFPA 407, and FAR Part 139.321. The duty manager must effectively manage staff schedules to reduce overtime reliance and handle coaching, counseling, or disciplinary actions as per company policy.
Furthermore, the role involves regular liaison with customers, airport authorities, and government agencies, fostering strong professional relations and communication. Administrative duties include reviewing activity, operating, and sales reports to ensure service adequacy and making necessary adjustments aligned with operational needs. The Duty Manager Control Center is a leadership position that blends operational oversight, regulatory compliance, customer service excellence, and team management in the fast-paced aviation fueling environment.
