Job Requirements

  • culinary degree or cooking certification preferred
  • minimum 1 year experience prepping in high volume institutional catering environment
  • understanding of basic cooking techniques
  • knowledge and use of different cutting techniques
  • ability to follow instructions from superior cooks
  • ability to handle cooking tools and equipment with hands
  • understanding of food hygiene standards and HACCP compliance
  • ability to speak, read, and understand English
  • ability to lift and push 50+ lbs
  • ability to stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently for 8+ hours
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • comply with work rules and regulations
  • wear personal protective equipment as required
  • pass criminal background check and drug screen
  • able to work in environment with temperature changes and noise
  • able to regularly stand, bend, lift, and move during shifts
  • exposed to hot surfaces
