Job Requirements

  • rn from accredited licensure program
  • bsn preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience with critical surgical services or operating room or leadership or quality
  • registered nurse license
  • bsl/cpr and acls certification from american heart association

Job Qualifications

  • registered nurse with licensure from accredited program
  • bachelor of science in nursing preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in surgical services, operating room, leadership or quality assurance
  • certification in BLS, CPR, and ACLS from American Heart Association
  • strong clinical and leadership skills
  • effective communication and collaboration abilities

Job Duties

  • coordinate clinical activities within the perioperative unit
  • supervise ancillary staff directly and indirectly
  • focus on unit-based performance improvement initiatives
  • serve as a resource instructor for competency assessment
  • implement and monitor patient safety goals
  • review nursing documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • facilitate educational in-services for outpatient and recovery staff
  • assist with staff scheduling and provide clinical coverage support
  • act as a role model promoting clinical practice excellence and evidence-based programs
