Job Description

HCA Healthcare stands as one of the nation's foremost providers of healthcare services, operating over 180 hospitals and approximately 2,000 care sites spanning 21 states and the United Kingdom. At the heart of HCA Healthcare's mission is a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care that transforms the patient experience. Timpanogos Regional Hospital, a distinguished part of the HCA Healthcare family, has been serving Utah County since 1998. With more than 122 beds, it is a full-service medical facility recognized among the Top 100 hospitals nationwide. Known for blending cutting-edge medical technology with compassionate, personalized care, Timpanogos Regional Hospital attends to more than 30,000 patients annually with a dedicated team of over 900 physicians, medical staff, and volunteers. Located in the vibrant city of Orem, Utah, the hospital benefits from a community rich in family-friendly attractions and scenic outdoor adventures, making it an attractive location for healthcare professionals seeking both career advancement and a balanced lifestyle.

The opportunity to join Timpanogos Regional Hospital as an Operating Room (OR) Manager Registered Nurse (RN) offers a rewarding and dynamic leadership role within a supportive and forward-thinking healthcare environment. This role is designed for an experienced nursing professional passionate about fostering patient- and family-centered care. As the OR Manager RN, you will directly collaborate with the Director of Surgical Services to plan, administer, and evaluate the daily operations of the hospital's Operating Room. The position prioritizes excellence in patient care and operational efficiency, ensuring that clinical standards meet and exceed industry benchmarks. Your leadership will be instrumental in role-modeling compassionate care practices, guiding and supporting nursing staff as they provide critical care in a high-pressure surgical setting.

This position also entails shared accountability for upholding nursing practice standards and the scope of care within the OR unit, which means you will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Effective coordination and communication with physicians, nursing teams, and other hospital departments is fundamental for optimizing patient throughput and operational workflow. You will be responsible for various managerial duties including staffing—hiring, scheduling, evaluating performance, and addressing personnel needs. Developing a shared departmental vision aligned with the hospital's goals will be a key part of your leadership approach, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that promotes continuous learning, staff development, and the highest standards of care. The ideal candidate is composed, professional, and able to maintain focus and decisiveness under stress, inspiring confidence in the team and ensuring smooth surgical operations.

The compensation for this managerial position reflects the pivotal responsibilities entrusted to the successful candidate, while Timpanogos Regional Hospital offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the overall well-being and career growth of its employees. Benefits include comprehensive medical coverage, dental and vision options, life and disability protection, flexible spending accounts, and much more. There are also unique offerings like free telemedicine services, AirMed transportation, family-building benefits, employee stock purchase plans, retirement readiness programs, and ongoing education assistance. This role is not only a chance to advance your career but also an opportunity to be part of an ethical, nationally recognized healthcare organization that values and invests in its people and the communities it serves.
