Job Requirements
- Valid nursing license in Utah
- Certification in BLS or BCLS within 30 days of hire
- CNOR certification required within twelve months
- Minimum of two years clinical operating room experience
- Ability to lead and manage nursing staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Qualifications
- Current Utah nursing license in good standing
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) from American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) required or obtained within twelve months of hire
- Two years clinical experience in the operating room
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Duties
- Assist the Director with planning, administering, and evaluating Operating Room operations
- Role model and sustain patient and family centered care
- Direct staff in patient care and family education
- Share accountability for nursing practice standards within the unit
- Coordinate staffing including hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling staff
- Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
- Develop and communicate a shared vision for the department
- Identify staff strengths and weaknesses and facilitate training and development
- Effectively coordinate functions with staff, physicians, and other hospital departments focusing on patient throughput
