Job Requirements

Registered nurse licensure
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
7-10 years of experience in surgical services, operating room leadership, or quality management preferred
Certification in BLS/CPR and ACLS
Ability to coordinate clinical activities within perioperative units
Experience in patient safety and performance improvement
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Job Qualifications

Registered nurse from accredited licensure program
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
7-10 years of experience in surgical services, operating room leadership, or quality management preferred
Certification in BLS/CPR and ACLS from American Heart Association
Experience with performance improvement and competency assessment
Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Duties

Coordinate the clinical activities within a specific perioperative unit
Collaborate with other members of the health care team
Directly and indirectly supervise the care rendered by ancillary staff
Focus on unit based performance improvement
Act as a resource instructor for competency assessment specific to units
Facilitate patient safety goals and implement performance improvement initiatives
Review nursing documentation for accuracy and ensure 100% medication reconciliation
Implement educational inservices for outpatient and recovery areas
Assist with staff scheduling and provide coverage during absences
Serve as a role model to enhance clinical practice excellence and support evidence-based programs
