Job Requirements
- Registered nurse licensure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- 7-10 years of experience in surgical services, operating room leadership, or quality management preferred
- Certification in BLS/CPR and ACLS
- Ability to coordinate clinical activities within perioperative units
- Experience in patient safety and performance improvement
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Job Qualifications
- Registered nurse from accredited licensure program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 7-10 years of experience in surgical services, operating room leadership, or quality management preferred
- Certification in BLS/CPR and ACLS from American Heart Association
- Experience with performance improvement and competency assessment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Duties
- Coordinate the clinical activities within a specific perioperative unit
- Collaborate with other members of the health care team
- Directly and indirectly supervise the care rendered by ancillary staff
- Focus on unit based performance improvement
- Act as a resource instructor for competency assessment specific to units
- Facilitate patient safety goals and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Review nursing documentation for accuracy and ensure 100% medication reconciliation
- Implement educational inservices for outpatient and recovery areas
- Assist with staff scheduling and provide coverage during absences
- Serve as a role model to enhance clinical practice excellence and support evidence-based programs
