Job Requirements

- ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions

- ability to move or maneuver slings or carriers weighing up to 220 lbs
- ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 50 lbs
- ability to bend, reach, pull, and press at shoulder level and below waist
- use of hands for grasping and other manipulations
- ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Check all machine safety devices before operating equipment and record and sign equipment safety form
- notify supervisor if machine does not pass safety inspection
- retrieve and maneuver sling to washer's rails and front when loading washer
- obtain extracted sling from overhead feed rail and verify batch tickets when loading dryer
- stage similar batches together for maximum utilization
- position washer/dryer in proper loading position
- remove batch ticket and load washer/dryer by untying sling and forcing items into cylinder
- close and level washer/dryer, select appropriate formula and start machine
- write batch ticket information on washer/dryer form
- enter weight from batch ticket into SOFTROL for washer and tie sling for dryer
- unload washer by tilting, removing items, and moving cart to sling raise area
- unload dryer ensuring proper moisture level, re-dry if needed, place items in tub and store appropriately
- verify moisture retention, avoid overloads, ensure proper temperature and cooling
- identify damaged slings and remove from system
- maintain safe and clean work environment
- perform other duties as assigned
