The position of Production Operator II at the Sacramento, CA plant focuses on acetylene production and filling operations. This role involves safely filling gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders while adhering to strict federal, state, and local regulations along with Airgas standards. The operator supports various plant operations including monitoring equipment for filling industrial gas mixtures, cryogenic gases, and medical gas products. They contribute to both level 1 and level 2 activities of production, ensuring quality and safety at every stage. Working in the 2:00pm to 10:00pm shift, the operator will be responsible for tasks such as inspecting cylinders, performing safety checks, preparing cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling, and accurately documenting operations to meet Department of Transportation (DOT), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Airgas quality control standards.

This position requires an individual capable of handling hazardous materials and cylinder gases with a strong knowledge of safety protocols including the reading of cylinder labels and color coding. The operator will maintain a clean and orderly plant appearance while efficiently operating various warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Essential to this role is the ability to work with diverse teams, communicate effectively, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
