The role of Operator 2, Bakery - Packing, Home Bake Ilapak, at Aspire Bakeries' Swedesboro, NJ location is integral to maintaining the efficiency and quality of the bakery's packaging and retail bagging operations. This position involves overseeing daily operations to ensure that production schedules are met while upholding safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. As a lead, the Operator 2 is responsible for coordinating team activities, supervising staff, and ensuring proper documentation and data entry systems like MOVEX/SAP and Excel are accurately maintained. This role also requires active involvement in equipment readiness and line performance, ensuring that any maintenance issues are promptly escalated for resolution. Working on the third shift with required weekend availability, this position pays $21.00 per hour and plays a key role in the smooth functioning of bakery packing operations.

The Operator 2 position is ideal for individuals with at least two years of manufacturing experience or equivalent training, who bring strong mathematical skills, communication abilities, and the capacity to lead teams effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new software systems are also important. This role demands physical stamina to operate in environments that may vary in temperature and involves some lifting. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in food manufacturing or bakery settings, knowledge of inventory control, forklift certification, leadership experience, and familiarity with food safety regulations and GMPs.
