The Operations Technician role at Archaea Energy is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of landfill gas to RNG processing facilities. This position demands technical skill, troubleshooting expertise, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. The role requires substantial travel, ranging from 25% to 50% per month, depending on plant location and tenure. In the first year, employees working at new plants will travel more frequently, with travel decreasing as they become more established at the facility.

As an Operations Technician, responsibilities include managing plant operations during assigned shifts, performing inspections and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The technician will also be required to operate advanced instrumentation and control systems, conduct analytical tests, maintain detailed logs and reports, and participate in maintenance planning and hazard waste management. This role involves working closely with team members and supervisors to maintain equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have intermediate electrical, chemical, and mechanical experience, with preference given to those with landfill gas or similar industrial operations backgrounds. Familiarity with process control systems, technical manuals, and schematics is essential. Candidates must be capable of independent work, possess technical problem-solving skills, and have a strong understanding of various sensors, transducers, and control systems integral to plant operations.
