The role of Operations Supervisor at Penske Logistics is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the efficiency of warehousing operations. This position provides leadership at a single location and is responsible for directing both individual contributors and the hourly workforce to ensure execution of daily logistics tasks that include loading and unloading trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations in alignment with company objectives and customer expectations. The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in scheduling, supervising workforce and equipment use, and ensuring compliance with safety and financial policies. They are responsible for coaching, motivating, and training associates to achieve productivity targets, maintain attendance standards, and uphold safety regulations.

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, requiring shift leaders to be present 30 minutes prior to the official start time and to exhibit schedule flexibility to accommodate peak seasons, holidays, or staffing shortages. The salary range for this role is between $56,200 and $74,500 annually, with bonus eligibility based on individual and location performance, incentivizing high-quality leadership and operational excellence. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks including loading and unloading trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations
  • Supervise workforce and equipment scheduling to meet company goals
  • Make corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level
  • Involved in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring hourly associates
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and provide coaching and counseling to associates
  • Motivate and engage associates by focusing on team accomplishments and recognition
  • Conduct team meetings and provide training and feedback to ensure operational compliance and safety
  • Manage associate working hours to minimize overtime and meet productivity targets
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies including inventory accuracy, returns, and damages
  • Conduct safety observations and ensure adherence to regulatory agencies and company policies
  • Work with vendors to ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment
  • Participate in customer meetings and help identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Provide relief coverage during associates' absence or time-off
  • Complete all necessary reports and documentation timely and accurately
