The Operations Supervisor role within the Sanitation/Assembly department is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. Located in Minneapolis, this on-site position offers a competitive salary range of $59,796.82 to $74,746.03. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in managing daily operations and guiding a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The supervisor will be responsible for organizing staffing schedules, conducting daily meetings, and ensuring compliance with a wide range of regulatory standards, including those set forth by the FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, and others.

Ideal candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or between one to three years of related work experience, preferably within food processing, grocery store produce, delicatessen, or similar industries. A strong understanding of food safety, regulatory compliance, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is essential. This role demands problem-solving abilities, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based software applications. The position requires excellent communication skills, organizational capabilities, and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met timely
  • Conduct daily work group meetings
  • Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies standards such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP
  • Document and follow up on all department processes in order to implement improvements
  • Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
  • Guide, motivate and develop staff within the Human Resources policies
  • Make the company’s values and management principles live in the department(s)
  • Manage productivity hours and costs in the area of responsibility
  • initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
  • Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety and Production systems
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary
