The Operations Supervisor role is a key position within this dynamic environment. This role involves overseeing the operations staff within the venue and assisting the Operations Manager with a variety of tasks vital to the smooth execution of live shows. Predominantly working during show hours, this position demands leadership skills, operational knowledge, and a customer-focused mindset. The Operations Supervisor works closely with the Operations Manager and other supervisors to perform day-of-show duties, ensuring high standards of security, guest service, and operational efficiency are met.
Key responsibilities include responding to elevated staff and guest inquiries related to shows, artist meet-and-greet packages, amenities, VIP programs, and seat upgrades. The supervisor must effectively handle guest concerns and complaints, particularly those related to security and customer service. Collaboration with security and guest services teams ensures adherence to service standards. Additional duties involve suggestive selling of venue products and services, upholding a detailed understanding of standard operating procedures, and effectively communicating these to team members. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for creating pre-shift sheets, relaying management information to staff, handling lost and found articles, and ensuring responsible alcohol service in line with training and policies. The role also includes leading pre-shift meetings, reporting issues to management on duty, managing incident reports, gathering witness statements, assisting with ejection logs, and supporting special events held at the venue.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate, motivated, driven, innovative, and resourceful. Candidates should have demonstrated leadership experience in high-volume nightclub or live entertainment environments and be adept at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude.
