Job Duties
- Oversee the assembly team focused on packing items according to customer specifications
- monitor departmental work to ensure quality standards are met
- maintain a fluid schedule of open work items with target start and end dates aligned with the master schedule
- work in a refrigerated environment for long periods
- assist in training and development of assembly employees
- monitor sorting, wrapping, and packing of airline dry goods/liquor and equipment into airline carts according to specifications
- ensure production areas comply with sanitation standards set by HACCP, FDA, USDA, and customer requirements
- ensure compliance with all relevant government regulatory agency standards such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and HACCP
- guide, motivate, and develop staff following Human Resources policies
- promote company values and management principles within the department
- manage productivity hours and costs, initiating corrective actions when needed
- participate and support initiatives like Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production systems
