The company is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a team of drivers and supervise operations at one of its locations in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday role from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, responsible for supporting 17 drivers across 6 locations. The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in leading teams within a dynamic operational environment, ensuring that customer requirements are met while achieving Penske's internal goals and objectives. This position offers a competitive salary range from $69,300 to $93,500, along with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses up to 30% of the base salary, reflecting both individual and location performance.

In this leadership role, the Operations Manager is expected to recruit, train, develop, and retain quality associates while fostering effective communication and strong relationships with team members, customers, and supporting departments. They will be responsible for meeting or exceeding key performance metrics, identifying operational improvements such as route optimization and asset utilization, and collaborating with other Penske sites to leverage best practices and resources. Financial management is a critical aspect of the position, involving the development and execution of annual financial and operating plans, accurate billing and payroll processing, and proactive issue resolution related to profit and loss. The manager will also lead safety initiatives to maintain an incident-free workplace, ensure regulatory compliance, and coach associates on safety standards.
