The role of Manager Operations at AEG is pivotal in maintaining smooth and successful venue operations. This full-time position involves overseeing daily operational activities at the venue, closely working with the General Manager and production teams to ensure all event requirements are meticulously fulfilled. The Manager Operations will manage the marketing of shows, ensuring the contracts with artists are adhered to within the show budget. A key responsibility is project managing shows, maintaining constant communication with clients or tour managers to anticipate and resolve show needs efficiently.

This role demands a hands-on approach to staff supervision, administrative duties, and the orchestration of a safe, customer-friendly environment during all events. The Manager Operations handles inventory management of equipment and supplies, negotiates vendor contracts, and plays an active role in venue improvements and capital projects. They prepare invoices, manage payroll discrepancies, and ensure the venue is event-ready at all times. The job requires strong leadership, effective communication, organizational skills, and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in business management or related field
  • 4-6 years of related work experience
  • Previous experience managing private and concert events
  • Experience in venue and events operation, tours, including artist communication and settlements
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous management experience and strong leadership skills
  • Strong organizational/project management skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Music industry and live music experience preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Project manage shows ensuring client and tour manager needs are met
  • Review artist contracts related to production, merchandise, ticketing, and rider requirements
  • Develop policies and procedures with operations team
  • Assist in operations planning and cost estimates
  • Manage day of show operations including backstage and artist hospitality
  • Oversee staff schedules, hiring, supervision, and training
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and maintain inventories
  • Engage in venue improvements and capital projects
  • Handle day of show settlements, prepare invoices and resolve payroll discrepancies
