This establishment operates under the management of an independent franchisee, not Del Taco LLC, meaning that employment, staffing, and operational decisions are handled directly by the franchise owner. This structure ensures that the restaurant maintains a strong community-focused atmosphere while delivering the high standards and quality associated with the Del Taco brand. The franchisee is responsible for all employment-related matters, including hiring, firing, wages, supervision, and scheduling, providing a dynamic and locally tailored workplace environment.\n\nThe role of Operations Manager within this restaurant is both pivotal and rewarding, offering candidates the chance to contribute significantly to the brand's success in their local market. Reporting directly to the Area Director, the Operations Manager is charged with driving sales growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and maximizing profitability while exemplifying the "Del Taco Way" – a commitment to quality, service, and teamwork. The position requires a leader who is adept at managing both people and processes, ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant's operation meets or exceeds established standards.\n\nIn this role, the Operations Manager will take charge of recruiting, hiring, and retaining a high-quality workforce, ensuring that all team members are trained according to current standards. Fostering a fun and collaborative service culture is a key responsibility, encouraging teamwork and engagement among staff. The manager will also conduct performance evaluations, recommend salary adjustments, and mentor team members and future leaders, shaping the next generation of hospitality professionals. Maintaining brand execution is critical, including upholding cleanliness, safety, product quality, uniform standards, and promotional signage. The Operations Manager is responsible for delivering a consistent and enjoyable customer service experience that fosters loyalty and drives repeat business.\n\nSales and customer loyalty form a cornerstone of the role. The manager sets clear, measurable sales goals and aligns staffing and operations to meet those objectives. Enhancing the customer experience through speedy and friendly service, identifying local marketing opportunities, and executing promotions flawlessly allows the restaurant to stand out in a competitive market. Operational duties extend to managing labor costs in compliance with legal requirements, controlling inventory, ensuring rigorous cash handling and audit processes, and maintaining safety and health standards. The Operations Manager must consistently achieve cost control targets and oversee maintenance and supply expenses efficiently.\n\nCandidates for this role should bring a solid foundation in restaurant or quick-service operations, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the industry. Job Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the QSR or full-service industry
  • ServSafe certification
  • fluency in English
  • physical ability to work in restaurant environment and travel
  • valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
