Factor, a proud member of the HelloFresh family, is currently seeking an Operations Manager, Production. This pivotal role involves leading the daily activities of a high-volume preparation, cooking, plating, and fulfillment center for meal kits. As the Operations Manager, you will work closely alongside the Associate Director of Operations to develop and implement operational roadmaps, enhance production efficiencies, and build a strong leadership pipeline within the production center. Your responsibilities include overseeing the operational logistics, fostering a positive workplace culture for a team of over 100 employees, mentoring leadership, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence company-wide decisions and directly impact overall business performance.

The Operations Manager is integral to building trust and collaboration within the team, ensuring product quality, and managing production scheduling. You will act as a liaison between site operations, kitchen staff, research and development, and other key functions within headquarters to prioritize site goals. Your leadership will focus on driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, cost control, and on-time delivery metrics while establishing high standards for KPI execution. Engaging and inspiring a diverse workforce by communicating company priorities through regular meetings and feedback sessions will be critical to your success. This role demands a leader who is versatile, analytical, customer-focused, and able to navigate the challenges of a rapidly growing and changing environment. With a competitive pay range from $77,175 to $89,250 USD annually, this full-time position reflects HelloFresh’s commitment to nurturing talent and driving operational excellence within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree
5+ years of management experience in food service or production operations
familiarity with FSMA, HACCP, SQF
ability to communicate at executive level
strong organizational skills
experience managing 100+ employees
knowledge of Lean and Agile Production
availability to work weekends and/or night shifts when needed
high level of integrity and ethics
strong continuous improvement skills
willingness to adapt to a high-change environment
effective communication skills
Spanish proficiency preferred
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred

Job Qualifications

5+ years of management experience leading an industrial kitchen or production operations center preferably in food service or food production
Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
ability to think strategically and communicate at the executive level
top-notch organizational skills and attention to detail
familiarity with FSMA, HACCP, and SQF
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
Spanish proficiency preferred
demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and manage 100+ employees
deep knowledge of Lean and Agile Production
comprehensive background in prepping, cooking, plating, food safety, quality, and fulfillment
interest in spending most time on the shop floor
demonstrated success delivering new product initiatives in large and start-up environments

Job Duties

Build and establish a strong team with a leadership pipeline
coach and develop talent within each functional area of fulfillment including kitchen, prepping, plating, food safety and quality, and fulfillment
develop trust, credibility, and effective collaborative relationships with Factor peers and direct reports
work with managers to execute final production scheduling
ensure product quality of the department
act as liaison between site operation, kitchen, R&D, and other headquarters functions
be responsible for production area continuous improvement initiatives and direction
develop high standards for execution to meet all KPIs and financial metrics
ensure adequate communication of company goals and priorities to production center team
lead monthly meetings to engage and inspire a diverse workforce
drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery
create a positive team dynamic encouraging timely feedback, driving positive change, adapting to business needs, and holding operators accountable to brand, KPIs, and culture
