Job Description

Prima Chefs is a dynamic startup that is revolutionizing the way restaurant-quality meals are delivered to customers in the comfort of their homes. Established three years ago, Prima Chefs has built its foundation on sustainability and innovation by introducing a reusable, eco-friendly to-go container system designed to eliminate single-use waste, a significant environmental concern in the food delivery industry. The company partners with top-tier restaurants, allowing them to reach customers directly while maintaining the elevated dining standards they are known for. This unique approach combines convenience with high-quality culinary experiences, catering to a growing market of environmentally conscious consumers. Over the past three years, the founding team has diligently developed the product, secured strategic partnerships with restaurants, and honed a clear vision aimed at expanding their impact. With the groundwork laid, Prima Chefs is now poised to scale its operations and bring its mission to more communities, beginning with South Florida.

The role of Operations Manager at Prima Chefs represents one of the earliest and most critical hires in the company's operational landscape. Unlike traditional positions with rigid playbooks, this role requires entrepreneurial spirit and initiative, as the person stepping into it will be responsible for crafting the operational playbook from scratch for the South Florida market. This hands-on leadership role is multifaceted, involving building strong relationships with local restaurants, chefs, and food communities to position Prima Chefs as a market leader. Alongside relationship-building, the Operations Manager will recruit, train, and manage a team of 5 to 10 Customer Success Ambassadors, ensuring that service standards are consistently met or exceeded. The daily operational duties include managing logistics such as delivery scheduling, tracking of reusable containers, and inventory control.

Furthermore, the person in this role must be ready to jump in wherever needed, whether it means assisting with deliveries, providing direct client service, or solving issues with agility and grace. The Operations Manager will work closely with the founding team to provide strategic feedback and help shape the company’s growth plan. This partnership ensures that insights and data gathered from the ground directly inform long-term business strategies. The role is a unique blend of strategic thinking and practical execution, demanding grit, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment. Compensation for this role includes a salary of $100,000 per year plus bonus opportunities, along with equity bonuses ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 in the first year. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid vacation and sick days. This position is ideal for someone deeply familiar with or curious about the South Florida restaurant scene who is passionate about sustainability, service excellence, and the challenge of building a business from the ground up.
