The Operations Manager Accelerated Program (OMAP) is an intensive 18-month development initiative aimed at preparing high-potential leaders for future roles as Operations Managers within Republic Services. This program offers a structured path involving rotations across various key business functions such as Operations, Sales, Finance, Maintenance, and Post-Collection, enabling participants to gain extensive hands-on experience and insight into all aspects of operational excellence. Alongside practical assignments, participants engage in leadership workshops, guest speaker sessions, project-based learning, and receive continuous coaching and performance feedback, fostering strong leadership skills and business acumen.

OMAP is designed not just as a training program but as a launchpad for a meaningful leadership career. Participants will learn to manage complex operations, lead large teams, and contribute strategically to business initiatives while upholding the company’s core values known as the Republic Way. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years supervisory or management experience
  • Willingness to relocate for rotational assignments

Job Duties

  • Gain hands-on experience in core operational areas and support strategic initiatives
  • Analyze business performance metrics including sales, gross profit, and inventory
  • Support hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement business unit strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community, government, and environmental stakeholders
  • Demonstrate and promote the leadership values of the Republic Way
