The current opportunity is for an Operations Manager at the Residence Inn Raleigh-Cary/Crossroads, a well-regarded extended-stay Marriott property which emphasizes comfort and convenience for guests requiring longer-term accommodations. Job Requirements
- minimum of 3 years experience in hotel leadership roles
- proven experience managing food and beverage operations
- knowledge of bar operations including inventory and cost controls
- strong understanding of front office, housekeeping, and operational procedures
- working knowledge of hotel financial management and budgeting
- ability to lead and develop teams effectively
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- flexibility to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
- physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds
- ability to work in both office and operational environments including guest and back-of-house areas
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 3 years progressive hotel leadership experience, preferably in Marriott or branded hotels
- experience as operations manager, assistant general manager, front office manager, or food & beverage manager
- required experience managing food & beverage operations including restaurant and bar service
- working knowledge of bar operations, liquor inventory controls, beverage cost management, responsible alcohol service
- strong knowledge of front office, housekeeping, and food & beverage operations
- understanding of hotel financial statements, labor management, departmental budgets, and cost controls
- demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop teams
- excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- experience with Marriott systems and brand standards preferred
- flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and business demands
Job Duties
- support the general manager in overall hotel operations and success
- provide daily oversight of front office, food & beverage, and housekeeping departments
- maintain high guest satisfaction by promptly resolving concerns
- lead, coach, and develop department managers and hourly associates
- ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and company policies
- monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement improvement plans
- assist with recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance management
- review labor productivity and staffing to maximize efficiency
- partner with department leaders to control expenses and improve profitability
- oversee housekeeping operations ensuring cleanliness and quality
- manage food & beverage outlets to maintain quality, responsible alcohol service, and sanitation
- support bar operations including inventory control and beverage cost management
- collaborate with culinary and F&B teams to drive revenue
- participate in forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
- conduct inspections of guest rooms and public spaces for quality assurance
- ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, OSHA, and health standards
- serve as manager on duty as assigned
- support hotel initiatives and special events
- collaborate with sales, revenue management, engineering, and other departments for operational excellence
