Job Description
New Vision Hotels is an independent franchisee that owns and operates the SpringHill Suites Fort Collins hotel. This franchisee operates independently from Marriott International, Inc., managing all employment policies including hiring, firing, compensation, benefits, and staffing without direct control from Marriott International. As a separate entity, New Vision Hotels takes pride in upholding the high standards of Marriott's brand while fostering a unique workplace culture geared towards excellence in guest service. The operational leadership at SpringHill Suites Fort Collins is vital in maintaining these standards and ensuring the property delivers an exceptional hospitality experience. This vibrant hotel is situated in Fort Collins, an area known for its dynamic mix of outdoor activities, cultural attractions, and a welcoming community.
The role of Operations Manager at SpringHill Suites Fort Collins is a hands-on, guest-focused leadership position emphasizing active participation on the hotel floor, especially during the evening and weekend hours. This leadership role is not confined to back-office tasks; instead, it places the manager right where the action happens—engaging directly with guests and associates, fostering a motivating environment, and leading by example. The Operations Manager is trusted to oversee daily hotel operations during critical hours when senior leadership may not be present, ensuring seamless service and operational excellence. This position is perfect for a leader who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys real-time problem-solving and guest interaction. The manager will play a key role in coaching front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping teams, reinforcing Marriott's brand standards, and cultivating a positive, service-driven workplace culture.
This role also involves close partnership with the General Manager and department heads to ensure consistent quality across all shifts. The Operations Manager is expected to step in hands-on whenever needed—whether it’s assisting with the front desk, managing guest requests, or leading service recovery efforts—to maintain smooth hotel operations. Compliance with Marriott's quality and brand standards is a critical part of the role, ensuring the guest experience aligns with the high expectations associated with the Marriott name. This position offers the opportunity to lead in a highly visible role that directly impacts guest satisfaction and operational success at SpringHill Suites Fort Collins. The employment type is full-time, with optional health benefits, 401(k), paid sick time, and paid time off (PTO) offered to eligible employees. The role requires flexibility during evenings and weekends, reflecting the peak times of guest engagement at the hotel.
