The company’s expertise spans a diverse range of materials such as resin, paper, molded fiber, aluminum, and more, offering customers both stock and customized packaging options. With an impressive catalog featuring 120 product categories, 250 brands, and over 39,000 SKUs, Novolex demonstrates its leadership and innovation in packaging solutions designed to meet diverse client needs across multiple markets. The company also emphasizes sustainability, striving to reduce environmental impact through recycling, utilizing increased recycled content, and promoting meaningful benefits for the environment and communities through active corporate citizenship and environmental initiatives. Novolex’s sustainability vision is structured around three pillars: products, operations, and people, which collectively drive the company’s commitment to responsible growth and long-term business success.

The Operations Manager role at Novolex involves planning, directing, and coordinating overall production activities within one of the company’s manufacturing plants. This leadership position carries responsibility for executing strategies that optimize safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability. The manager plays a critical role in promoting and improving workplace safety, health, security, and employee welfare, ensuring compliance with food safety standards such as GMP and certifications like SQF or ISO. The manager oversees all production and production support activities, ensuring operations align with company policies and values while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment grounded in 5S principles. Beyond operational oversight, the Operations Manager mentors and coaches supervisors, leads change management efforts in union environments, and collaborates actively with internal teams and customers to enhance production flow and product quality. This role demands a results-oriented leadership mindset focused on continuous improvement methodologies including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management to drive cost efficiency and profitability.

This position is suitable for experienced professionals with at least 5 to 7 years in manufacturing and production leadership, ideally possessing a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience coupled with professional certifications in continuous improvement or black belt methodologies. Technical expertise, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. Physical stamina and the ability to handle demanding ergonomic tasks are required due to the nature of plant operations. Novolex offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $130,000 to $155,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits, including 401(k) with company match, comprehensive medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, parental leave, holidays, and wellness programs.

Joining Novolex means becoming part of a company dedicated to empowerment, sustainability, and community engagement. Employees benefit from continuous training and development opportunities supported through MyLearning, tuition reimbursement programs, and extensive skills development curricula. The company fosters an inclusive workplace and equal employment opportunities, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds and providing accommodations for disabilities during the hiring process.
