Job Description
PAH Management is a Dallas-based hotel ownership and management company that operates a diverse portfolio of select-service properties across multiple states. These properties are affiliated with leading hospitality brands such as Marriott and Hilton, ensuring a consistent commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction. The company is highly focused on cultivating a culture that prioritizes associates, fostering an environment where employees feel valued and supported while working toward becoming America’s preferred hotel management company. With a reputation for strategic leadership and operational expertise, PAH Management is dedicated to maintaining high standards of service and operational performance throughout its properties, leveraging best practices in hospitality management and employee development.
The Operations Manager position at PAH Management is a pivotal leadership role designed to oversee the daily operational efficiency and financial success of the hotel property, specifically the Courtyard in Baton Rouge, LA. This role entails significant responsibility for managing guest satisfaction, revenue optimization, cost control, and associate development. As a key member of the property's leadership team, the Operations Manager ensures that operations across departments such as front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage run smoothly and efficiently. The role also involves serving as the Manager on Duty (MOD) during scheduled hours, maintaining a strong guest-facing presence, and handling escalated guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
The Operations Manager is expected to lead by example, ensuring that all associates uphold PAH Management’s service standards and provide exceptional, courteous, and efficient interaction with guests and team members. A major focus of this position is driving guest satisfaction by maintaining brand-standard service delivery at every touchpoint. The manager remains visible in public areas during peak hours to engage guests and assist where necessary. Operational oversight also includes managing hotel safety and security procedures, coordinating preventive maintenance, supervising reservations and inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and property standards.
Financial performance management is a crucial component of this role. The Operations Manager monitors and reviews the hotel's financial status monthly, including reforecasting revenues and expenses, preparing accurate financial documentation, and overseeing accounts payable processes. This requires strong analytical skills and financial acumen to effectively forecast and manage budgets. The role demands active leadership in associate development, including conducting departmental training, motivating teams, recognizing high performance, and ensuring equitable treatment of all associates in alignment with company policies.
The position demands a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the operational needs of the hotel. Physical requirements include the ability to move throughout the hotel, occasional lifting, maintaining professional appearance standards, and wearing a name tag as per PAH Management guidelines.
PAH Management offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience along with comprehensive benefits that support employees’ well-being and professional growth. Candidates joining PAH can expect a rewarding career in an inclusive and dynamic work environment that values leadership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
