The Operations Manager role at Hyatt is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day Food & Beverage (F&B) operations while supporting the broader hotel operational functions. This position manages various outlets including the breakfast buffet Small Farms, the lobby bar Haibu, the lobby market Konbini, the banquets division, and the employee dining program. The Operations Manager works closely with leaders across Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure seamless guest experiences throughout the property.

This role focuses on driving operational excellence, elevating guest satisfaction, and supporting financial performance across both Food & Beverage and Rooms Operations. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style with strong food and beverage expertise, coupled with a desire to broaden their operational knowledge in hotel management. Responsibilities include managing daily F&B operations, supporting hotel-wide service standards, developing innovative F&B concepts and promotions, executing special events, overseeing vendor relationships, controlling payroll and expenses, and ensuring compliance with health and service standards. Additionally, the manager is tasked with building and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering employee satisfaction, and collaborating cross-functionally with various departments to meet overall hotel goals.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of progressive hotel management experience with significant food & beverage responsibility including banquets experience
  • Experience supporting or partnering with front office, housekeeping, or broader rooms operations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people and inspire others
  • High energy, creative mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership skills and strong guest service orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with hotel, pos, payroll, inventory, and procurement systems preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations of food & beverage division including breakfast, bar, culinary, stewarding, purchasing, and banquets departments
  • Support hotel-wide operational excellence by partnering with front office and housekeeping leaders
  • Develop and implement innovative food and beverage concepts, promotions, and strategies to drive revenue and market position
  • Coordinate planning and execution of special events, cultural activations, vip experiences, and hotel programming
  • Maintain amenity and dining experience programs aligned with the JdV brand
  • Support payroll administration, inventory controls, purchasing procedures, and expense management
  • Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships
  • Provide outstanding customer service and resolve guest complaints with empathy and discretion
  • Conduct daily inspections and ensure compliance with health regulations and Hyatt standards
  • Elevate banquets program including menu planning and event execution
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and empower food & beverage team members to drive employee satisfaction
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, revenue management, finance, and events teams
  • Serve as manager on duty as assigned and provide operational leadership across departments
  • Support rooms operations in guest service, room readiness, cleanliness, and operational continuity as needed
