Responsibilities include overseeing complimentary breakfast service, banquet and catering functions while ensuring all activities adhere to the company’s quality and sustainability benchmarks. The position requires collaboration with the front office team to manage schedules and maintain service quality. Additionally, this role involves handling labor and food cost expenses within budget constraints, inspecting food orders from third-party catering companies and supporting various guest service functions from breakfast attendant duties to guest service agent responsibilities. A significant part of the position is also working proactively to resolve guest service deficiencies by creating actionable and measurable improvement plans. Additionally, the role requires someone ready to step in as Manager on Duty when needed, upholding the standards and values of the company.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage front of the house operations including complimentary breakfast service, banquets, catering functions and front office
  • Train, schedule, coach and support associates to perform according to brand or hotel standards and HHM core values
  • Ensure quality standards of complimentary food service stations are maintained
  • Attend weekly meetings to ensure banquet event details align with client requests
  • Assist Front Desk Manager and Front Office Supervisor in creating schedules
  • Manage labor and food cost expenses within budgets and forecasts
  • Receive and inspect food orders from third party catering companies
  • Work shifts transitioning from Breakfast Attendant to Guest Service Agent
  • Create action plans to address guest service deficiencies
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when necessary
  • Adhere to sustainability guidelines related to EarthView program
  • Follow safety protocols including MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management
