Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • hotel management, general business or marketing degree preferred
  • previous experience as a select-service or extended-stay General Manager preferred
  • five plus years hotel or management experience preferred
  • three plus year's food and beverage experience in a hotel preferred
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lightspeed, ProfitSword, and MICROS experience strongly preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous hotel supervisory or management experience preferred
  • strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of hotel operations, brand standards, and hospitality systems a plus

Job Duties

  • Assign duties to staff and monitor performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards
  • train, coach, and develop team members to deliver exceptional guest service
  • assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and completing new hire paperwork
  • support staff to ensure daily workloads are completed efficiently and effectively
  • assist with scheduling, timecard management, and payroll preparation
  • conduct performance reviews and assist with personnel actions such as disciplinary measures and terminations
  • maintain accurate operational and financial records including cash flow sheets, direct bill accounts, credit card receipts, registration and reservation cards, tips, and gratuities
  • conduct or assist in department meetings to ensure communication and consistency across teams
  • resolve guest complaints and employee concerns promptly and professionally
  • provide shift coverage across all departments as needed
  • perform General Manager duties in their absence
  • ensure compliance with all franchise, brand, and company policies
  • perform additional duties as assigned
