Job Requirements
- 3 plus years of previous hotel management experience preferred
- Food and beverage experience preferred
- Previous hotel leadership experience with proven success
- Ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees effectively
- At least a high school diploma, college degree preferred
- Extensive financial knowledge and strong business acumen
- Valid driver’s license from appropriate state
- Demonstrated drive for results in prior leadership roles
- Action orientation to work efficiently toward operational objectives
- Strong time management skills
- Customer focus to ensure optimal employee and customer satisfaction
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of hotel management experience preferred
- Previous hotel leadership experience with demonstrated success
- Strong financial knowledge and business acumen
- Proven ability to coach, train, and discipline staff
- Excellent customer service and team motivational skills
- Ability to analyze financial and guest satisfaction data
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience in food and beverage management preferred
Job Duties
- Coach and support hotel team to effectively manage wages and controllable expenses
- Manage costs within the hotel including supplies, utilities, food and beverage, and labor expenses
- Ensure service, technical skills, and other training occurs throughout the property
- Ensure cleanliness and functionality of the rooms and entire building
- Oversee housekeeping department effectiveness
- Review financial reports and statements to monitor property performance
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members
- Hire team members with strong functional expertise and leadership
- Foster team commitment to exceptional service
- Serve as a guest advocate resolving operational issues
- Be highly visible and regularly interface with guests for feedback
- Provide service behavior feedback to team members
- Analyze guest feedback to identify improvement areas
- Ensure maintenance of building and operational atmosphere
- Make decisions and remove obstacles to team success
- Inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence
- Administer policies fairly and consistently
- Ensure property meets franchise standards
- Maintain a safe and secure facility
- Communicate and ensure execution of hotel emergency procedures
