Job Description
Loomis is a leading provider of armored transportation and cash management services with a network of nearly 200 branches across the United States. The company specializes in supporting financial institutions and retail businesses by ensuring the smooth and secure flow of cash through its armored transportation, cash management centers, and cash inventory vaults. With a strong reputation for reliability and security, Loomis plays a critical role in protecting and managing financial assets for its clients. The company prides itself not only on its operational excellence but also on providing its employees with significant opportunities for career growth and job satisfaction. Many of Loomis' senior leaders, including managers, vice presidents, and corporate executives, began their careers at the branch level as driver/guards and tellers, demonstrating the company’s commitment to internal advancement and employee development.
The role of Operations Supervisor at Loomis is integral to maintaining the company's efficiency and security standards. This position involves implementing and administering company policies and procedures while overseeing daily operations related to armored car routes and cash vaults. The Operations Supervisor collaborates closely with management teams to foster a professional employee-centered culture, emphasizing safety, security, high service levels, and operational cost-efficiency. Operational responsibilities include managing armored and ATM routes, vault security, and terminal operations under the guidance of the Operations Manager or Branch Manager. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring all activities comply with Loomis' safety and security policies while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This role also demands strong leadership, as the Operations Supervisor is tasked with recruiting, training, and supervising operations personnel. They must ensure workforce effectiveness, address employee issues promptly, and maintain clear communication across the branch. Additionally, the supervisor oversees vehicle maintenance, emergency responses, and security investigations, which are critical to safeguarding employees, cargo, and facilities. The Operations Supervisor must also handle day-to-day administrative functions, including scheduling, payroll monitoring, and managing operational data in both manual and electronic formats. The position offers a dynamic and challenging environment requiring excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to handling logistical and operational challenges. Candidates with a background in transportation logistics, warehousing, or banking cash operations are preferred, alongside skills in Microsoft Office and a valid firearms permit. Loomis values individuals who are driven to succeed and grow within the company, enhancing both their personal careers and the overall success of the organization.
