The Operations Lead Supervisor role at TForce Freight is a critical leadership position responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of Service Center operations. This position plays an essential part in ensuring that operational goals related to productivity, service quality, and safety standards are consistently met or exceeded. The successful candidate will leverage operational data to identify trends and issues, developing actionable solutions to improve service levels and operational efficiency. Collaborating closely with the Service Center management team, the Operations Lead Supervisor will drive strategic initiatives aimed at increasing workforce productivity and enhancing customer satisfaction.

In addition to process oversight, this role is heavily focused on team leadership and employee development. The Operations Lead Supervisor will manage and mentor staff within the Service Center, coordinating efforts to maintain compliance with labor agreements, address employee grievances, and support workforce training programs. This role also involves partnering with management to make informed decisions on hiring, promotions, and employee evaluations. The supervisor will conduct safety and quality training sessions and will be responsible for fostering positive labor relations through proactive communication and conflict resolution.

This position offers a competitive salary range from $70,304 to $87,293, reflecting the importance of the role within the organization. Job Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or internationally comparable degree - preferred
  • Previous dock operations experience - preferred
  • Supervisory experience in the transportation industry - preferred

Job Duties

  • Work with other managers to coordinate hiring and promotion decisions
  • Work with other managers to ensure adherence to labor agreements and address grievances
  • Participate in new hire orientation meetings and conduct safety and quality training
  • Determine employee training needs and provide feedback and support
  • Conduct performance evaluations and resolve individual and group performance issues
  • Build labor relations by interacting with labor officials and unionized employees and addressing and resolving requests and situations
  • Coach and develop others using career development processes and tools
