Job Description
StandardAero is a leading independent aerospace company dedicated to providing specialized engine aftermarket services for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With a strong presence in commercial, military, and business aviation sectors, StandardAero is recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence. The company serves as a crucial link between engine original equipment manufacturers and aircraft operators by offering critical scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, as well as engine component repair. Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, their corporate headquarters fosters a clean, safe, and professional work environment where employees are treated as valued members of a close-knit team rather than just numbers. StandardAero emphasizes integrity and trust, providing employees with the tools and resources needed to address challenges effectively and to continue advancing their careers through expert mentorship and on-the-job training.
The Operations Finance Director role at StandardAero offers a unique opportunity to take enterprise-wide accountability for aerospace engine and airframe MRO activities, directly impacting financial performance and operational efficiency across 50 plus operating sites. This high-profile position reports directly to the Vice President of FP&A and collaborates closely with key leadership including Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, and Accounting leaders. The director will lead financial strategies that enhance earnings and optimize trade working capital across the company, crucial for maintaining StandardAero’s position as a market leader in aerospace aftermarket services. Responsibilities include leading the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) finance process, standardizing cost accounting methodologies, driving working capital improvements, and supporting company-wide lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of cost accounting principles, supply chain profitability, and operational finance functions. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of finance experience with a strong proficiency in spreadsheets and financial software, excellent organizational skills, and outstanding communication abilities. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with preference given to candidates who bring experience in manufacturing or aerospace and defense industries, as well as familiarity with tools like SQL, Power BI, and Oracle. The position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where tactical initiatives on margin improvement, cash generation, and cost rationalization are daily priorities, backed by robust reporting and KPI management.
This role is based at the Scottsdale, AZ headquarters, with travel requirements of 25 to 50 percent to various operational sites. StandardAero offers comprehensive benefits including healthcare, 401(k) with company matching, paid time off from day one, and numerous other employee-focused programs designed to support professional growth and work-life balance. If you are a finance professional eager to contribute to a respected aerospace company with a focus on operational excellence and financial leadership, this opportunity at StandardAero is designed for you.
