LifeShare Blood Center is a respected non-profit organization dedicated to the vital mission of connecting blood donors with the lives they save. As a key player in the blood banking industry, LifeShare Blood Center operates multiple donor centers and community-based blood collection activities to ensure a steady and reliable supply of blood products to healthcare facilities in need. We are currently seeking a Regional Operations Director to lead and oversee the regional blood collection and donor recruitment efforts across our centers. This leadership role is pivotal to the organization's continued success and outreach, involving strategic planning, team leadership, and relationship building. The Operations Director will be responsible for developing and implementing both strategic and tactical plans concerning donor recruitment and blood collection activities. This includes managing operations at donor centers and extending initiatives to community-based efforts to maximize donor engagement.
The ideal candidate will direct, develop, and coach teams to achieve established goals and key performance indicators, ensuring that operational activities align with LifeShare's mission and values. The role demands a proactive leader who can foster teamwork, enhance communication, and drive continuous improvement in all operational aspects. The Operations Director will also cultivate meaningful relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to promote LifeShare Blood Center’s mission and to meet business needs effectively. A comprehensive understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements such as FDA regulations, AABB standards, OSHA guidelines, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) is essential to ensure all operations meet regulatory demands and maintain the highest safety standards.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- at least five years of experience in operations management or healthcare administration
- demonstrated supervisory experience
- understanding of FDA, AABB, OSHA regulations and cGMP preferred
- experience with budgeting
- proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- valid driver’s license and insurability
- willingness to work flexible hours including after hours and weekends
- ability to travel within the community and to other centers
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- at least five years of experience in operations management or healthcare administration
- prior blood banking or healthcare management experience preferred
- demonstrated supervisory experience in managing personnel and teams
- working knowledge of FDA, AABB, OSHA regulations and cGMP standards preferred
- experience in budget development and maintenance
- proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- strong organizational skills and initiative
- ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
