The position being offered is an on-site role based in Niagara Falls, NY, with a schedule from Thursday to Saturday and every other Wednesday, working night shifts from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am. This role is part of Ryder’s administrative services and plays a crucial part in supporting the accounting and human resources functions at the location. It involves overseeing daily office activities, managing support staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of various financial and HR processes. The role requires a dedicated professional who can handle responsibilities such as month-end financial closing, payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, vendor management, and employee onboarding. In addition, this position supports event coordination and performs audits and inventory checks ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- associate's degree in accounting experience considered in lieu of college education
- minimum 5 years of clerical, administrative, accounting, and supervisory experience
- experience in a related field
- proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access
- intermediate computer data entry and 10 key calculator skills
- understanding of intermediate accounting principles including financial planning, reconciliation, and reporting
- supervisory and HR training including knowledge of wage, hour, and labor laws
Job Duties
- Prepare accurate month-end financial closing reports
- maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable throughout the month
- process journal entries
- analyze profit and loss statements for unusual charges
- perform monthly general ledger reconciliations for the Rebuild Center
- take orders and return requests from outside customers
- conduct core audits and quarterly inventory
- monitor changes in production costs
- oversee daily office and accounting functions
- coordinate and execute new hire onboarding
- recruit warehouse staff and manage relationships with contingent labor providers
- manage purchasing of materials, supplies, and equipment
- perform additional duties as assigned
