The Warehouse Coordinator position at US Foods, located in Lexington, SC, is an essential operations role responsible for supporting inbound, outbound, and general warehouse activities. This position ensures the timely delivery and scheduling of freight as well as the proper distribution of warehouse items. The role involves critical tasks such as data entry, preparation and distribution of reports, and maintenance of accurate records to track warehouse performance. The Warehouse Coordinator acts as a key contact for internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and collaborating with warehouse staff and carriers. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. The work environment includes normal warehouse settings, cooler and freezer areas, and occasional office work.

This full-time role offers a schedule of Sunday through Thursday with every other Friday, starting at 5:15 PM until the end of the shift. The expected base rate for this position is approximately $23.50 per hour, with compensation depending on relevant experience and education. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience preferred in a food environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone and customer service ability
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to solve limited scope problems
  • Teamwork orientation and willingness to support department colleagues

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience preferably in a food environment
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent telephone and customer service abilities
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities for limited scope issues
  • Strong teamwork skills to support others in the department and division
  • One-year clerical warehouse administrative work experience preferred
  • Computer skills, data entry and word processing skills preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure optimal warehouse operations by preparing and processing routine forms, reports, and documents including inbound documents, outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, shipping labels
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs, respond to inquiries and telephone calls, research information as needed
  • Collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support tracking warehouse performance including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, associate over-time
  • Support warehouse functions by checking returns and credit slips, assembling returned orders for proper return to picking slot, investigating picking errors and locating missing products
  • Interact with warehouse personnel to solve selecting and shipping issues
  • Complete outbound paperwork and reports including documents for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, and trucks received at night
  • Update the master storage report
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager
