The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a seasoned Operations & Conversions Manager to join our team and take charge of all arena changeovers and event setup operations. This hands-on leadership role is vital to the smooth transformation of the arena from one event format to another. The Operations & Conversions Manager will lead multiple crews, oversee complex conversions that include sports configurations, concert setups, and special event preparations, ensuring that the arena is event-ready to the highest standards. This role requires a leader who has a deep understanding of arena logistics, flooring systems, staging, and production setups. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts under tight deadlines while maintaining safety and efficiency. The position demands a flexible schedule including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays to align with the arena's event-driven calendar. Job Requirements
- Forklift certification
- Scissor lift certification
- Boom lift certification (strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards
- Full-time, event-driven schedule
- Must be available for nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 3–5+ years experience in arena, stadium, or large-scale event operations
- Proven leadership in event conversions and crew management
- Strong working knowledge of arena flooring systems, staging, and logistics
- Ability to perform and oversee physical, hands-on work
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Lead and execute arena conversions across sports, concerts, and special events
- Plan and manage floor layouts, staging, seating, and production setups
- Supervise, schedule, and develop operations staff
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Oversee and operate equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
- Enforce safety standards and OSHA best practices
- Coordinate with internal teams including production, maintenance, and event services
- Manage equipment inventory, maintenance, and operational readiness
- Train staff on procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols
