Job Description
Whataburger is a beloved American fast food restaurant chain known for its high-quality burgers and commitment to exceptional customer service. Established in 1950 in Texas, Whataburger has grown into a prominent name in the quick-service restaurant industry, with hundreds of locations across the United States. The company prides itself on its strong brand reputation, dedication to community involvement, and focus on team member development and satisfaction. Whataburger is more than just a restaurant; it is a family-oriented company that emphasizes a positive work environment, diversity, and growth opportunities for its employees. Whataburger provides competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package to support the health, well-being, and career progression of its staff.
Whataburger is currently seeking an Operating Partner to lead one of its restaurant teams. The Operating Partner role is a leadership position responsible for managing the overall operations and performance of a restaurant location. This includes overseeing key financial aspects such as profit and loss, labor costs, food expenses, and maintenance. The Operating Partner will lead the recruitment, development, and retention of team members—referred to as Family Members—to ensure the restaurant meets both operational goals and customer service standards. Duties also include collaborating with managers and the Market Leader to implement operational plans, monitoring performance using various reporting metrics, and maintaining strict food safety and workplace safety protocols. The Operating Partner acts as a key decision-maker in the restaurant, driving business growth while fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
This role offers the exciting opportunity to earn a six-figure income with weekly pay and uncapped bonus potential based on performance. The position provides schedule flexibility, leadership development, and career growth opportunities within Whataburger's extensive restaurant network. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare and life insurance options, generous paid time off starting at five weeks, a competitive 401(k) savings plan with company match, as well as paid parental leave and disability benefits. Additional perks include a scholarship program for employees and their dependents, discounted meals, wireless and computer software discounts, gym membership discounts, and recognition programs acknowledging employee achievements. The position is ideal for those with at least two years of management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry and who possess skills in budgeting, recruiting, coaching, and restaurant operations.
Located at 125 Sycamore School Rd in Fort Worth, TX, Whataburger's facility offers a dynamic and supportive environment for an Operating Partner who is passionate about leading teams and delivering excellent customer experiences. The Operating Partner plays a vital role in sustaining Whataburger's legacy as a market leader and beloved brand by driving operational success and building strong customer relationships. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced settings, have strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and prioritize brand standards and customer satisfaction will find this role rewarding and challenging. Whataburger is committed to providing its Operating Partners with the tools, resources, and support necessary to succeed and grow within the organization.
