Job Description
Wendy's is a global fast-food restaurant chain renowned for its quality ingredients and fresh menu offerings. Established with a commitment to delivering great taste and exceptional customer service, Wendy's has grown to become one of the most recognized brands in the quick-service restaurant industry. This location, situated at 3680 State Street in Boise, Idaho, is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. While franchise organizations operate autonomously and may have variations in compensation, benefits, and career programs, this particular establishment upholds the high standards of the Wendy's brand, focusing on customer satisfaction and community engagement. The franchise offers an energetic, team-oriented work environment where employees can develop their skills and advance their careers within the fast-paced food service industry.
As an Open/Close Shift Manager at this Wendy's franchise, you will play a crucial leadership role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards, and fostering a positive workplace atmosphere. This is a management position that involves supervising, coordinating, and delegating responsibilities related to opening and closing shifts, with a primary focus on cleanliness, food safety, and efficient service. You will be expected to lead by example, mentoring crew members and team trainers to enhance their performance and maintain high morale. Your responsibilities will include overseeing cash management duties, executing the Daily Operations Plan, and optimizing labor efficiency to maximize restaurant profitability.
The role demands a hands-on approach to managing restaurant shifts, including conducting walk-throughs to prepare the restaurant for peak periods, utilizing flow charts and checklists to guarantee timely completion of tasks, and collaborating with the restaurant management team to uphold production and service standards. Additionally, you will assist in labor management, food cost control, and maintaining cleanliness through scheduling and supervising cleaning tasks. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to participate in various training, development, and recognition programs designed to enhance your leadership capabilities and career growth within the Wendy's franchise network.
Working at Wendy's offers numerous benefits including direct deposit, paid vacation, free meals, medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as ongoing training and advancement opportunities. The company promotes a fun and team-oriented work environment that values recognition and professional development. Employees can expect performance reviews and wage increases based on their contributions, alongside unique perks such as shoe credits and participation in the 401(k) plan, although it is not matched. This role provides an excellent platform for individuals who are passionate about food service management and customer satisfaction, offering both challenges and rewards in a supportive franchise setting.
