The ONT Field Kitchen Cook plays an integral role within Legends Global’s Food & Beverage department, directly reporting to the Executive Chef. This is a part-time position compensated at $26.25 per hour, ideal for culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and possess a passion for food preparation and kitchen operations. The responsibilities of this position include preparing an assortment of menu items with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency. The cook must maintain a highly organized and sanitary workspace, adhere strictly to safety and hygiene standards, and demonstrate reliability in completing both routine and specialized kitchen tasks. These duties demand stamina and performance under pressure, with a commitment to teamwork and compliance with all company policies and union regulations. The ONT Field Kitchen Cook must have a flexible schedule, including availability nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of live event schedules. This role requires not only culinary skills but also excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-service-oriented mindset. The position also includes obtaining a ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire, with company-supported training. Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year previous food service experience desired
- Must be flexible and able to respond quickly and resourcefully to issues
- Working knowledge of food production, purchasing, and sanitation
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to take loosely defined tasks and define problems with solutions
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be ServSafe Certified within 30 days of hire
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Must pass background check
- Ability to lift 25 lbs throughout the day
- Must be able to work under heat and stress in kitchen environment

Job Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age

Job Duties
- Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
- Prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items
- Properly label and date food items for storage
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period
- Know and comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Use food preparation tools according to manufacture instructions
- Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times including coolers and storage areas
- Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Executive Chef or Chef
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Ensure all storage areas are tidy and products stored appropriately
- Consistently practice safe and hygienic food handling
- Return dirty food preparation utensils to appropriate areas
- Keep workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked
- Follow waste control guidelines and record all waste on spoilage sheet
- Understand and maintain proper sanitation and food safety
- Abide by all company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, and the Business Code of Conduct
- Perform other duties as assigned
